Saumya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over three years of experience providing outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, and families. Saumya supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic illness, body image concerns, grief and loss, and identity exploration. Saumya’s goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to develop coping skills that support meaningful and sustainable change.

As a therapist of South Asian background, Saumya is especially passionate about working with individuals from marginalized groups who may feel unheard, misunderstood, or pressured to balance multiple identities and expectations. Saumya approaches therapy with cultural humility and an understanding of how systemic factors, family dynamics, and lived experiences shape mental health. Saumya strives to offer a therapeutic space where clients can explore their identities openly while building confidence, self-compassion, and emotional resilience.

Saumya’s therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, and skills-based. Saumya draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools to manage distress and improve daily functioning. Together, Saumya and clients work to identify goals that align with clients’ values and create strategies that feel realistic and personalized.

Saumya believes therapy should be a partnership rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion. Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or adjusting to a new phase of life, Saumya aims to meet them where they are and support them in moving toward growth and healing at their own pace.

Outside of work as a therapist, Saumya enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. These activities help Saumya stay grounded and connected, and they reinforce the importance of relationships, reflection, and balance—values Saumya brings into the therapy space.
